My Story

I grew up in a small village in Davao City, Philippines.

I remember as a young boy I wasn’t really into books. In fact, I hated the idea of sitting down and reading through pages and pages of words.

I was an athletic guy and I enjoy athletic stuff. Sports, hiking, working out, that kind of thing.

But one day a black book with a photo of a man with a large grin caught my attention. (little have I known that the man was Tony Robbins, a giant in the personal development space)

I was in college at that time and I didn’t have any goals and plans in life.

The title says Unlimited Power: The New Science of Personal Achievement and I was intrigued about what he meant.

Unlimited power? Personal achievement? Do you mean I could have the power to achieve anything I want in life?

I bought the book, read a few pages, rest a little, then get back to reading. After a few cycles of read-rest-read, my life changed.

I was hooked with the idea of self-improvement and changing your mindset, that stuff.

I became addicted to books, the right kind of books.

As soon as I finished the book, I bought another one, then another, then another, until I can barely fit all my books into my big bookshelf.

I wanted to share everything I learned so I decided to create this blog.

This is where I summarize what I learn from books and other resources, present them in bite-size information and share my knowledge on different areas of personal development.
